PBFC Rush December Newsletter

A Note from Coach Lucas - New Academy Director

Dear PBFC Rush Families,

As our season comes to a close, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I’m thrilled to step into the role of Academy Director and to continue building on the incredible foundation laid by Coach Kyle and Coach Kenny over the years. I look forward to collaborating with our talented coaches, players, managers, and parents this spring, and I’m confident we’ll have another fantastic season at PBFC Rush. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at lucas@coastalrush.com. Wishing you a joyful holiday season filled with family and happiness. I look forward to seeing everyone back in January!

Club Announcements

PBFC Rush Staff - Out of Office - All PBFC Rush Staff (coaches, admin, directors) will be out of office and celebrating the holidays December 24-26 and December 30-January 1. We will respond to any messages when we return.

Winter Break - PBFC Rush teams will be on Christmas break with no training or events from December 20 - January 12. Directors and admin will be available via email during the break on non-holiday weekdays, or as otherwise noted by their out of office responder.

Parent-Funded Tournament Deadlines - In order to secure our teams’ spots for lower prices in increasingly sold-out tournaments, we are implementing a club-wide deadline to pay for parent-funded spring tournament fees by January 31, 2025. These fees will be located in your Heja chats and are based upon team budgets each season. Please refer to your Heja team chats for those fees which should be posted by your manager. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding!

PBFC Rush Golf Scramble Postponed - We have decided to postpone the Golf Scramble until next year, but are excited to be a part of the Coastal Rush Fundraiser at Laguna’s on Pensacola Beach that will take place during Spring Break. We will release more information about this event soon!

A Note from Jessy Reboucas - Club Manager As teams gear up for the last half of the 2024-2025 season, I want to encourage everyone to embrace the changes that the spring brings. Over the fall and winter season, we welcomed new players, coaches, team managers, directors, and even newly-formed teams. The directors and I are continually impressed by this year’s PBFC Rush families who have taken many of these changes in stride and with a positive outlook. Because of this, we see the growth of not only the players, but in our club community, and expect this to continue in the springtime. On a personal note, I want to thank our team managers for all that they do behind the scenes for their teams. Not only are they vital to myself as Club Manager, but also to PBFC Rush as a whole. Please take a moment to recognize and thank them this season! Club Announcement Parent-Funded Tournament Deadlines - Tournament payment deadlines are here! If you have not submitted parent-funded fees for spring events yet, please refer to your Heja team chats for those fees which have been posted by your team manager. Due to sold out events and long waitlists, we ask that all parents take care of these payments so that teams do not miss out on early bird registration prices. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding! Kickin’ it with Coastal! - We are excited to announce the Kickin’ It Together fundraiser on March 22, 2025 at Laguna’s on Pensacola Beach! In partnership with Coastal Rush, each Home Club has the opportunity to win team prizes, individual cash prizes, and fundraise for their own Home Club. If you’re unsure if you can attend an event, please communicate your concerns to your team manager or coach. A common question that many club parents ask directors and coaches is, “What can my player do outside of their club soccer schedule to continue improving?” This is a great question that we hope we can provide insight to in preparation for the 2024-25 season. Here are a few opportunities for players to look into for extra time on the ball beyond their club activities. Private Training: This is an excellent opportunity for players to get extra training in a 1-on-1 or small group environment. Some of our PBFC Coaches offer private sessions and can be contacted here: Coach Munoz ( admin@3coachmunoz.com ) Coach Lucas ( lucas@coastalrush.com ) Coach Gabriel ( empreendamorim@gmail.com ) Summer Training: Take advantage of PBFC Rush’s July outdoor training at Southwest Complex for ages 2018-2006. It is open to all players regardless of club affiliation or playing experience. Register Here for Summer Training . Futsal: Futsal is the indoor form of soccer and is a great skill developer, demanding quick reflexes, fast thinking, and pinpoint passing; it is an exciting and simple game for players of all ages. Futsal develops precise ball control, technical skill, agility, lightning reflexes, and decision-making. Here are the Futsal you can find in our area: Coastal Summer Futsal ( https://www.coastalrush.com/summer-training ) Gulf Coast Futsal ( https://www.gulfcoastfutsal.com ) Strength & Conditioning: Coastal Rush offers 90-minute sports performance classes to make exercising fun and safe for athletes aged 12-18 (2012-2006). The workouts incorporate movements, exercises, and Technical Training with the soccer ball that maximize player performance and overall athleticism on the soccer field. Join Coach Kyle and Coach Lucas at the Ashton Brosnaham turf to be physically and mentally prepped for the season. Click Here to Register for Summer Sports Performance Guest Playing: Guest playing with other clubs is a great opportunity for players to get some extra game time and to make new connections. Under the Coastal Rush umbrella, there are seven Home Clubs with opportunities for guests. Please let us know if your player is interested in guest playing during the season when your team does not have activities, and we can put you in touch with other clubs to make this happen. ODP: Learn more about the Olympic Development Program HERE . Note that PBFC Rush is not affiliated with ODP – contact the ODP representatives on their website for more information. 3v3 Tournament: Small-sided games are fun and fast-paced, and build friendships. Put a team together and find an event below. 3v3 Tournament ( https://3v3live.com/tourneys/#exp-events ) These are just a few of our recommendations. However, our club highly recommends that each parent do their own research and find what best suits their player.
